President Jared Wilson joined the Department in 2004 as a radio dispatcher and entered the 69th Regional Police Academy in 2006. He has served as a Patrol Officer in Eastern, Central, Western, Mid-City, and Southern Divisions.
In 2015, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and served as a Patrol Supervisor in Northern and Mid-City Divisions. He has served on two Crime Suppression Teams, the Gaslamp Bike Team, and as a Field Training Officer and Sergeant. In 2024, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and currently serves as the leader of the Traffic Division Motorcycle Unit.
President Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from San Diego State University.
President Wilson began his service on the Board in 2018 and has since been reelected three times. He has served as a Director, Secretary, and twice as President. He currently serves on the Executive Board of PORAC and as an Area Vice President for NAPO.
