District attorney clears officers, deputies in 10 San Diego County shootings


The San Diego County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday that it completed its review of 10 recent law enforcement shootings — seven of them fatal — and that the actions of the officers and deputies involved were legally justified.The shootings happened between 2020 and 2022 and involved 18 law enforcement officers from four local agencies: the county Sheriff’s Department, and the San Diego, Escondido and National City police departments.
