The Widows & Orphans Golf Tournament is one of San Diego's paramount charity golf events attracting community and business leaders as well as San Diego Police Officers. The SDPOA's Advisory Board Hosts the annual tournament at San Diego’s only Tom Fazio-designed course at Southern California's premier golf resort The Grand Golf Club.
Ride to Remember Charity Motorcycle Ride
The SDPOA partners with the San Diego County Motor Officers Association in May to kick-off events related to National Law Enforcement Memorial Month. Participants visit law enforcement memorials throughout San Diego County to pay respects to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice.
SDPOA Foundation 16th Annual Golf Tournament 2025
Right now, more than ever, our officers and their families need us. The challenges they face—both on and off duty—are immense, and the SDPOA Foundation is committed to ensuring they have the support they need. That’s why we are thrilled to host the 16th Annual SDPOA Foundation Golf Tournament on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the beautiful Coronado Golf Course. Our goal is to raise $250,000 to fund critical programs that assist officers injured in the line of duty, provide scholarships for their children, and offer support in times of hardship.
Peace Officer of the Year
The SDPOA is proud to host the largest annual San Diego county-wide law enforcement event, The Peace Officer of the Year Awards Dinner. Local law enforcement agencies from throughout San Diego County may select a sworn recipient who exemplifies the best of its agency for the previous year – whether through heroic action, tenacious investigation or dedication to excellence. We welcome hundreds of law enforcement officers both state and federal along with local dignitaries. These awards are held in high esteem by all recipients, agencies and the community.
