SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Drivers in the city of San Diego will begin getting fined for violating the new statewide daylighting law starting March 1.
The law makes it illegal to park within 20 feet of a crosswalk whether it’s marked or unmarked, red or not.
Since Jan. 1, the San Diego Police Department says it has issued roughly 1,500 warnings, but in March violators will be fined $77 per ticket.
